6° INITIATIVE

2024 END OF YEAR REPORT

We are asking God for 190,000 disciples in the Voodoo capital of the world.

We exist to influence gospel saturation through developing transformational leaders and churches.

As a partner with the Coalition of the Willing (COTW), Converge was selected to be responsible for surveying the Maritime region which has just over 5,000 villages. As of April 2024, 100% of the Maritime Region has been surveyed! For the first time, we are able to have solid data on where we need to send our church planters. We now shift our focus to seeing a church planted in every village of Togo. On August 22nd, we met with the COTW to invite 50 other local denominations and organizations within Togo to join us and strategize with us on how we can reach this goal together.

The current statistics we have from the mapping show just under 7,000 villages without a church. Converge has committed to helping plant 1,000 churches in the next several years within our region in the southern part of Togo. Please pray with us as we partner with TTI leaders and centers to influence transformational leaders and churches together to reach this goal and impact this region with the gospel.

Antoine’s Story: “Who Will Take the Gospel to Them?”

In Togo, with a population mostly under 30, there’s an incredible opportunity to empower young leaders like Antoine, whose faith has been a powerful journey.

Originally from a voodoo-practicing family, Antoine faced rejection and hardship after accepting Christianity, even being denied food and shelter by his father. Supported by Solution Church, he grew in his faith, eventually training with the Timothy Initiative. Through his training, Antoine discovered the nearby village of Anamé. He realized, “There is no church there. Who is going to take the gospel to them?” After asking this question, God gave him the answer. At first, every week, Antoine would travel by bike to Anamé to share the gospel. After leading 17 people to faith in Jesus, he decided to plant his church there. Now, at just 20 years old, Antoine travels to Anamé every week to experience worship and minister to the new believers.

Despite his age, his demonstration of faith and spiritual maturity is evidence that God is working in the heart of this young man and other youth to raise up new transformational leaders and churches from among the next generation.

Would you pray for and give to support the development of these young leaders who will become the next generation of pastors and ministry leaders to take the gospel to the unreached villages of Togo and beyond?

New Life Church Empowering Their Local School

New Life Church has become a true beacon of hope, transforming a local school and reaching its young community in meaningful ways. Pastor Alex and his team recently led a three-day camp, where children were welcomed into a joyful environment to hear the hope of the Gospel. Partnering with Northstar Church from Tennessee, New Life provided lunches for the students throughout the year, ensuring no child faces hunger at school.

The church's involvement doesn't stop there—New Life members now lead regular cleanup days at the school, a task once seen as "kid's work," turning it into an act of service and love. By modeling this care, New Life demonstrates faith in action, becoming an example of compassion and God's love in their village. Each effort, big and small, radiates the light of Jesus into the lives of families and students, reminding them that the love of Christ in action can strengthen and uplift entire communities.

Moments of Connection

When a youth group from One Life Church in Arizona came to Togo, they worried the language barrier might hold them back. But the simple effort they made—learning a worship song in French—moved the Togolese leaders, who felt valued by their gesture. The next day, the youth groups came together, side by side, to clean and prepare the church for Youth Day, bridging cultural gaps through service.

On Youth Day, they joined in worship, experiencing the beauty of unity that transcends language. Later, they worked with Togo’s Vocational Training team, learning from each other and bonding over God’s Word. That night, they celebrated each other’s unique gifts, building a lasting sense of connection as they encouraged one another’s faith.

That week was a beautiful picture of the global church—unified and encouraging each other in love. Through service, worship, and shared faith, they discovered that the love of Christ truly is a common language.

We invite you to give to help us see more of these connections. Opportunities for mutual encouragement between the church of Togo and the church of America bring forth fruit among both groups of believers!
