Welcoming interns is one of the highlights of our year - to see brothers and sisters in Christ from two different cultures being mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, what a joy. As an intern, we ask that you come not just to serve, but to expect to grow spiritually, be personally mentored, and be launched into the calling that God has placed on your life!

This is not just an internship — it’s a mentorship experience designed to stretch and shape future leaders. Our prayer is that each intern would leave with:

A higher view of God.
A proper view of themselves in Christ.
A clear next step in their role in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Seeking applicants who have a personal relationship with Christ and are faithful students of His word, are college-aged/young adults, have a heart for missions, and who demonstrate a desire for spiritual growth and deep mentorship.

OPPORTUNITIES:

Summer 2026 - 6 Weeks (Late June - Early August)
Fall 2026 - 4 Weeks (September)

Each participant will receive over 500 hours of personal and leadership development, as well as hands-on opportunities to serve, learn, and grow alongside our team.

Potential activities during a week as an intern:

Could include, but also not limited to:

Visit local historical sites that give the history of Voodoo. Visit the local markets to see what day-to-day life looks like for this community.
Visit the location of the founding church, and hear the history of the 6 Degree Initiative, as well as visit recently planted church plants.
Spend time in a private language class with yourself and your fellow interns to help learn a few basic greetings and phrases.
Spend the morning with your fellow interns and a few of the missionaries completing a session from a study that showcases who God is, how he has gifted us each individually, and how we put our confidence in Him alone. There will also be the opportunity to spend the morning with a few of the missionaries completing an expositional study through a book of the Bible.
Spend the afternoon in observing discipleship in a small group setting with a missionary and a few young Togolese leaders diving into God’s word together.
Observe team strategy meetings to see the process of debriefing the current ministry, praying, and strategizing what the Lord would have us do next.
In work projects and ministry opportunities.
Walk the roads of an unreached village, with prayer prompts, learning more about the area, and asking for God to move in that specific area.
Experience missionary life and what it looks like to practically shop for the items needed day to day.
Circle through the different missionary homes to spend time with and get to know all of the 6 Degree Team. There'll be opportunities to try local cuisine as well!
Fun evening together to enjoy a meal and fellowship as a team.
